Barcud housing association is keen for tenants to share their views, experiences and ideas at this month’s Tenant Voice Forum to help shape future services provided.
With over 4,5000 properties across mid and west Wales the Tenant Voice Forum is open to all of Barcud’s tenants. It will be held on Wednesday, 14 October from 10.30am until 2pm in the Penparcau Hub in Aberystwyth.
The Barcud group is based in mid and west Wales and comprises Barcud Housing Association, together with Care and Repair in Powys, The Care Society and EOM. As a group it is committed to creating an ambitious, forward-thinking business, focused on developing affordable homes for rent and purchase, as well as providing essential first-class housing support and maintenance services for tenants and communities.
Deina Hockenhull, Director for People and Insights said, “Tenant involvement is fundamental to delivering high-quality, responsive services. By actively listening to tenants and creating accessible opportunities for participation, we will learn more together and therefore can strengthen trust, improve satisfaction and ensure services are designed and delivered in ways that reflect current needs and experiences.”
Four workshops will be held as part of the Tenant Voice Forum including:
- Barcud’s Repair Service – Tenants will be asked to share their experiences of the repair service to see if it needs to be improved.
- Barcud’s Strategic Objectives – Tenants will be asked what matters to them on the priorities that will shape Barcud’s future.
- Barcud’s new website – Tenants will be shown Barcud group’s proposed new website and asked for their opinion before it is launched to ensure it delivers for tenants.
- Investing in Barcud communities – There is an opportunity to reinvest money into initiatives that benefit Barcud’s communities. Tenants will be asked what they think this funding could support and what matters most to them.
Barcud tenants are asked to book their place at the Tenant Voice Forum in advance by contacting Customer Services on 0300 111 3030. Barcud can help with free transport if required. A free lunch will be included at the event as well as a free prize draw and assistance with childcare costs is possible if needed to attend.
