Jason Jones has been announced as the new Group Chief Executive Officer for Barcud cyf.
With over 25 years of experience in both the private and public sectors, Jason Jones, from Aberaeron, is a seasoned property and regeneration specialist who has made a name for himself as a dynamic, proactive, and focused individual with a proven track record of delivering first-class outcomes. He is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and began his career in estate management and property consultancy in the private sector before moving to local government in 2003. His appointment marks an exciting new chapter for the Barcud Group.
In his previous roles at Ceredigion County Council and Carmarthenshire County Council, Jason gained vast experience in estate management, property project management, regeneration, digital, and policy. He has a track record of successful strategic leadership involving large and diverse teams and the management of significant financial budgets. Jason’s regeneration experience includes supporting economic growth in rural communities and promoting the Welsh language. This experience is well suited to Barcud’s social, tenant focused objective. Amidst mounting concerns about the housing and cost of living crises in Wales, this exciting appointment at Barcud places the association in a strong position to tackle these pressing issues in the rural communities head-on. Barcud is poised to lead the way in addressing the challenges of affordability, housing supply shortages and income inequality.
